Check if you have a power plug on the side of the metal case:

If yes your metal case can run with more additional stable power and you can order the following new “GeeekPi DC 5V 4A” barrel power supply at Amazon-DE: https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B088M1Q7GF

Once you have the power supply you have to check which board version you have inside the metal case. For this take the top part of (2 screws front, 2 screws back).

If your inner top section looks like this (with just those two white 5V out ports) you have the v2.0 version of the X825 board:

Then you can just put the top back on and connect the new barrel power supply on the side instead of the USB-C power supply from the front and see if its start up. If it does DONE you now run with 4A instead of 3A power supply. If the pi does not start up you need to connect both power supplies at once (connect first the barrel, then the USB-C).

If your inner top section looks like this (you see an on/off switch) you have the v1.5 version of the X825 board:

Then you need to make sure that the following setting is done.

You sould see the “AUTO OFF” & “AUTO ON” pins next to the button:

Make sure that the little jumper is set on the “AUTO ON” position. Once you have assured that setting you can put the top case back on. For the future you need to have both power supplies connected (connect first the barrel on the side, then the USB-C on the front).
